Band of Brothers, written by Stephen Ambrose, is a novel set during WWII.
It is a description of life in the Easy Company, 101st Airborne Division, US Army, from the time of their rigorous training
in Georgia in 1942 to D-Day and victory. Drawing on interviews, journals and letters, the author tells the story of these
American heroes.
The picture on the right is a poster from the Band of Brothers mini-series. Band of Brothers is hailed as one of the best
WWII mini-series or motion-picture made for television. The text in german beneath the title translates to "We were like
brothers"
